I wrote this song with The Hubies around 2004 after our first weekend road trip with the band. Shawn and Chubs helped composed a lot of the background vocals for this song especially in the bridge.
lyrics
Saturday is on the way, don't you forget what I say.
I-75 is looking fine to me.
Long days turn into nights, friendships turn into fights.
Days go by without a care in the world
So I close my eyes and I point to a new place on the map
Our new destination is in tact. I hope this trip won't be the last.
14 hours on the road, rolling pavements getting old
My eyes are drowsy and my face is numb.
Tag team your turn to drive, you just ran a red light.
Oh well, its ok. Its the memories we made.
I know you're tired of the same old things
Memories from another dream
As time flies by, and still I try
These memories will never die.
